U.S. Cyber Command Executive Director to Keynote ACFE Government Anti-Fraud Summit

The ACFE's annual one-day event brings together anti-fraud professionals from government and law enforcement agencies.

AUSTIN, Texas (October 25, 2024) — Anti-fraud professionals from federal agencies such as the FBI, the U.S. Department of State, NASA Office of Inspector General and Homeland Security will come together to offer their insights on the evolving fraud-fighting world to attendees of the 2024 ACFE Government Anti-Fraud Summit. The hybrid summit, organized by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and hosted by the ACFE's Law Enforcement and Government Alliance, will take place November 14, 2024, at Convene Washington, D.C. and virtually.

Morgan Adamski, executive director of the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), will deliver the morning's keynote address. Adamski has more than a decade of experience in cybersecurity and intelligence, including positions with the National Security Agency (NSA) and Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Daniel Michael, partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP, will also serve as a keynote. Michael previously served as Chief of the SEC Enforcement Division's Complex Financial Instruments Unit (CFI), where he combined the efforts of attorneys and market specialists to pinpoint market risk areas and develop new investigative techniques. He will be joined by Chris Ekimoff, CFE, CPA/CFF, a director in the Financial Investigations and Dispute Services group of RSM U.S. LLP. Ekimoff is also a co-host of the inSecurities Podcast from the Practising Law Institute and an adjunct professor at the Antonin Scalia Law School of George Mason University.

Attendees of the 2024 ACFE Government Anti-Fraud Summit have the opportunity to attend eight breakout sessions, covering topics such as cyber incident response, combating identity theft and synthetic identity fraud, ethics in professional practice, using AI for fraud investigations and more.
