Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, small businesses and more share a collective mission during the week to spread anti-fraud education, tools and resources to their staff and communities.
AUSTIN, Texas (November 4, 2024) — Anti-fraud education will be in the spotlight for hundreds of organizations during International Fraud Awareness Week, November 17–23, 2024. Also known as Fraud Week, the weeklong awareness event is organized annually by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the world's largest anti-fraud organization serving more than 90,000 members around the world.
Groups around the world dedicate time during Fraud Week to schedule training events and webinars, host community outreach events, share free resources created by the ACFE, and highlight on social media and with key stakeholders the important role fraud prevention and detection plays in their business. Organizations sign up for free at FraudWeek.com to be recognized as Supporting Organizations of the event.
Members of both the ACFE Corporate Alliance and ACFE Law Enforcement and Government Alliance are registered as Fraud Week Ambassadors, demonstrating a year-round commitment to providing their staff with access to anti-fraud training and resources provided by the ACFE. This tier of supporters includes Fortune 500 companies, U.S. government departments and agencies, and more.
The ACFE launched International Fraud Awareness Week in 2000, when it began as National Fraud Awareness Week. The initiative became international seven years later. Next year will mark the 25th anniversary of the event.
