CFE Exam Non-Disclosure Agreement and General Terms of Use
This agreement is between you and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and sets forth the terms and conditions of you being allowed to take the CFE Exam. You are required to accept the terms of agreement set forth below before you can begin your exam. The time limit to review and accept the agreement is two minutes.
By accepting these terms and conditions, you are affirming by your actions that you understand, acknowledge and agree:
- You are the person registered to take this examination. Falsifying identity or impersonating another individual to gain access to an exam is strictly prohibited.
- You must conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner before, during and after the exam.
- The CFE Exam is confidential and is the exclusive, copyrighted property of the ACFE. All exam content, including questions and answers, is intellectual property of the ACFE. Disclosure of CFE Exam content, among other things, is prohibited and a violation of ACFE’s copyright.
- You may not record, copy, reproduce, publish, transmit, distribute or share any portion of the exam through any means – electronic, written or verbal. This includes internet websites, chat rooms, discussions groups, blogs or other sharing sites.
- You will not cheat, attempt to cheat or otherwise attempt any misconduct to improperly enhance your score during the exam (such as providing or accepting improper assistance; using a non-authorized device such as a cell phone, camera or recording device; looking at notes or unauthorized materials or committing other acts with intent to circumvent the exam procedures).
- Falsification of score reports by modifying and/or altering the report for any exam record is not permitted.
As part of its security measures, the ACFE performs routine statistical analyses (data forensics) on CFE Exam sessions. Data forensics is used as a basis for taking enforcement action when there is no reasonable explanation for a statistically anomalous exam result or behavior.
Violation of any of the included Terms could compromise the integrity and security of this certification program. If ACFE discovers that you have violated these Terms or assisted others in doing so, then you are subject to automatic disqualification of your exam results, becoming ineligible for the CFE credential and/or removal from ACFE membership. This agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to conflicts of law principles.
By checking the box “I accept these terms” and clicking “Continue,” you affirm you accept the terms of this agreement and want to proceed into the exam. If you do not accept the terms of this agreement, you must click the “Exit” button and the exam will terminate.
