Terms and Conditions
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. This contest is conducted and sponsored by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Inc. (“ACFE”), 716 West Avenue, Austin, Texas 78701. The contest will begin on July 13, 2023 and run through September 18, 2023. By entering you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- TO ENTER. You will be automatically entered once your 2023 Global Fraud Survey response is submitted. No purchase is necessary to enter and a purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Entries must be submitted no later than September 18, 2023. Only one entry per person. No other form of entry is permitted except as provided above. The ACFE will not be responsible or liable for incomplete, misdirected or late entries.
- WINNERS. Prizes are as follows: one grand prize winner receives a $500 Amazon (or similar retailer) gift card; four other winners each receive one $250 Amazon (or similar retailer) gift card. Winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received, minus winning entries from previous drawings. Each prize will have its own drawing throughout the course of the Global Fraud Survey Sweepstakes, and all drawings will occur on or before September 30, 2023. Odds of winning depend on number of entries received, and early entries have more chances to win than later entries due to multiple drawings. Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of drawing. No more than one prize will be awarded to any entrant.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. By entering, entrants release and hold harmless the ACFE, its directors, agents, officers, employees, affiliates and subsidiaries, and their respective directors, agents, officers, and employees, from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Global Fraud Survey, contest, or any prize won. Without limiting the foregoing, the ACFE specifically disclaims any liability or responsibility for damage, expense or inconvenience, or for any loss, injury, or damage to any person or property for any cause whatsoever.
- SUBSTITUTION OF PRIZES. The ACFE reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason. Winner may waive the right to receive a prize. In the event that a winner so waives his or her right to receive a prize, or if a winner cannot be contacted by the ACFE within thirty (30) days of the date of selection of that prize, or in the event that a winner is ineligible to win the contest, the ACFE will choose another winner by random selection from all remaining valid entries, and will notify the winner in the same manner provided above
- ELIGIBILITY. The contest is open to Certified Fraud Examiners in good standing. Must be 21 years or older to win. Void where prohibited by law. All directors, agents, officers and employees of the ACFE or of any the ACFE affiliate or subsidiary are not eligible. Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and compliance with contest rules and a liability and publicity release.
- TAXES. All taxes and other associated costs and fees on prizes won are the sole responsibility of the winner.
- USE OF ENTRANT INFORMATION. Entry constitutes permission to post winners’ names and likenesses in the ACFE’s magazines, newsletters, social media and web pages, and to use Winner’s name and likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Except for the foregoing, all information supplied by entrants will be maintained by the ACFE in accordance with its established privacy and confidentiality policies.
