Fraud examiners must be aware of emerging trends and their potential impacts to protect against these risks and investigate frauds involving new technologies.
This course identifies emerging technological trends, examines the ways in which they are related, and provides fraud examiners an increased awareness of this new fraud ecosystem.
Prerequisites
Basic familiarity with computer technology and associated fraud threats

Ascertain the consequences of developing cyber threats, including ransomware and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.
Choose the appropriate actions needed to protect systems from emerging threats
Recognize emerging technological fraud schemes
Determine factors that contribute to rising fraud schemes, such as the dark web and emerging payment methods.
